Dr. Shane Kinzer, OD, was born and raised in the Lewis-Clark Valley. For his undergraduate education he attended Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, ID where he received an Associate of Science degree in Radiographic Science and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology (cum laude). He attended Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, OR where he graduated with honors as a member of Beta Sigma Kapa and received his Doctorate in 2023. Dr. Kinzer specializes in primary eye care providing services in routine eye care, ocular disease, and co-management for refractive and cataract surgery patients.
While in optometry school Dr. Kinzer completed externships through the Veterans Affairs in Vancouver, WA, Indian Health Services in Salem, OR, Pacific University Eye Clinics in Oregon, and Pacific Cataract and Laser Institute in Vancouver, WA. These clinical experiences helped establish a solid foundation for Dr. Kinzer to deliver high quality primary eye care to a diverse population of patients.
Dr. Kinzer enjoys spending his free time outdoors with his wife, Chelsey and their two beautiful daughters. In the summer you will probably find him playing tennis or disc golf at one of the parks in the area, fly fishing up the North Fork, or picking huckleberries in the woods past Orofino. During the cooler seasons Dr. Kinzer loves snowboarding, watching movies, reading, and playing board games or video games with his friends and family. Don’t be afraid to ask Dr. Kinzer about his favorite books or movies when you come in for an exam!
