Dr. Nathan Noakes joins Alpine Vision Center

Alpine Vision Center, a family practice serving the quad-cities region, is proud to announce the addition of Nathan Noakes, OD to the team.  Dr. Noakes grew up in Boise, Idaho. He spent the past 10 years providing exceptional family eye care at Prairie Eye Center in Springfield, Illinois.

Optometrists and practice owners, Nathan Wilson, OD and Julia Polito, OD believe Dr. Noakes will greatly contribute to the personalized care their patients receive at Alpine Vision Center.

“Ultimately, we selected Dr. Noakes to join our team at Alpine Vision for his experience and broad set of clinical skills. Our patient base is varied with a great deal of medical eyecare in addition to eyeglass and contact lens exams,” said Dr. Wilson. “As our offices continue to grow we knew it would be necessary to add someone dynamic and exceptional to meet those diverse demands and we believe we have found that in Dr. Noakes.”

Dr. Noakes, a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), received his Doctorate of Optometry in 2008 from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in Columbus, Ohio. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Nutritional Science at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah in 2003. Dr. Noakes specializes in Dry Eye Treatment and specialty hard-to-fit contact lenses, including medically necessary scleral contact lenses. He provides complete family eye care, including pediatric eye exams, contact lens fittings, disease management, diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases, and post-operative care.

“I enjoy the challenge of working with the many different ocular conditions that come with providing complete family eye care,” said Dr. Noakes. “Helping patients achieve improved vision and overall better quality of life as a result is so rewarding.”

Dr. Noakes looks forward to returning to the Northwest

During his externships in Boise, he managed pre- and post-operative cataract and Lasik patients. He performed volunteer vision screenings for the 2008 Special Olympic athletes during the Invitational Winter Games.

While in Columbus, his externships focused on providing vision care to veterans with ocular diseases, specifically glaucoma, diabetes, and vascular disease. Dr. Noakes will begin seeing patients at Alpine Vision Center on August 15, 2018.

When not in the office, Dr. Noakes enjoys spending time in the outdoors with his wife and five children.
